Background:
*** Note: This request is unrelated to the Special Exception request by Discovery Church for a religious institution on McKinney road. There are currently TWO requests in process for religious institutions within the Rural Settlement.
Crossroads Impact Church has requested a Special Exception to build an approximate 52,500 square foot religious institution facility at 3103 Avalon Road. This property is approximately 9-1/2 acres, is zoned A-1, and is within the Rural Settlement. It is known as the Green Machine/Taylor Family Nurseries parcel. Crossroads Church has not yet purchased the property. Note that in the proposed site plan, they have noted a “potential future vehicular and pedestrian access/cross connection with the adjacent property”. The adjacent property is owned by the same entity and it’s egress is Davenport Road.
