Background:
Discovery Church has requested a Special Exception to build an approximate 46,000 square foot religious institution facility at the corner of Rex Drive and McKinney Road. This property is approximately 20 acres, is zoned A-1, and is within the Rural Settlement. Discovery Church made a similar request in 2022 that was denied by the Board of County Commissioners. They have now updated their request and resubmitted it.
A Community Meeting was held on Nov 4 to inform the neighboring residents and property owners about this request.
